I got offered full time at Subway, so that's where I'll work. The two other jobs being also nightshifts, it seems that Woody won't take them, but if anybody else is interested, message me, I'll tell you exactly what to say during the interviews. 8) But just before I got that phonecall from Subway (note: the manager in called Fran‡ois, and also comes from Qu‚bec City. Small world...), I visited the 5 bedroom thing I was talking about. I found the tabhouse. It's located at 648 Keefer street, two blocks down from E. Hastings. (take the bus up to heatley, get off the bus, go south, Keefer's there.) It is 15 minutes walking distance from Commercial, 25-30 walking from downtown. I guesstimate that it is 5 minutes from Casa Gelato :), and it's three blocks away from the Food Not Bombs Colective House of Terror and Heretic Acts. The nice janitor made me visit the house. She told me it was 10 years old, but I suspect 15. It is in good condition. It could use a paint job, which could be undertaken (or paid for, anyway) by the owner, but she didn't know for sure. If it isn't done, it won't /need/ it, anyway. The ground floor is the kitchen, and a big dinning/living room. I can easily picture big tabmeets happening there. There are three rooms on the first level. From the stairs up, the floor is covered with cheapo carpet. The basement contains two other rooms, with basic commerial flooring like what's found in schools, and also on the ground level floor (weird sentence construction...) The rooms are rooms, not closets. They aren't fast, but one could move around a double bed, I guess. The house comes with an oven, a fridge, a washing machine and a dryer (the last being located in the basement). The house is clean. I haven't seen signs of any Bad Things. The janitor talked about break-ins... House break-ins aren't supposed to happen (the windows are rather high, except for the patio door), but car breakins are frequent. Fortunately, that isn't a problem for any of us. One disadvantage that I found is that there is only one bathroom. We'll have to choose our days... ;-) Luckily for me, I got there 15 minutes before the other party who wants to rent it appeared, so I have priority. What I want to do is to visit on Sunday (all of us, plus maybe somebody from the TabSquad of Apartment Cleverness (coughthejugdecough). If we decide we take it, we'll notice the janitor right at that moment, since this priority thing isn't going to last forever. Rent is 1200. The utilities amount around 100$ during winter. With 4 people, that's 325. With 5, that's 265. I saw an ad about a girl that was looking for sharing an apartment with other people, and her description was okay with me, so I will probably have her come along on Sunday so she can see apartment too. Life is cool. -thext
